This course will introduce the ocularist to a method for understanding the definitions of medical terminology by analyzing the word into its component parts and with a knowledge of the meaning of those component parts. We will learn how to break down a medical word into its component parts of suffixes, roots and prefixes. This first section of this course will cover terminology used for the anatomy of the eye and orbit with the Latin and Greek origins.
