This course will inform the intern ocularist of the bony orbit, extraocular muscles, and relevant
nerves. These being the bones making up the orbital structure, the action of a blowout fracture,
muscle actions, cranial nerves, and a review of palsies. An understanding of this anatomy will
aid the ocularist in providing the best care for the patient. That being said, finer intricacies of
these descriptions may not be addressed in this talk. There is also an Anatomy 2 course to refer
to detailing globe anatomy, lacrimal system, and the eyelids.
